Around 9 am on Sunday, Sutter County officers responded to a State Wildlife Area along Becker Road and Gifford Road southeast in Knights Landing after reports of a shooting during the turkey hunting season.

Upon arrival, they found the body of the victim with a single gunshot wound before he was pronounced dead at the scene. Soon, investigators identified the Sacramento resident and Octogenarian as the shooter and placed him under arrest without any incident.
