A Harvest man, Jahree Daiquan Williams, 21, was arrested and charged with the murder of 26-year-old Taylor Boldosser North.
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the North family during this incredibly difficult time. We are dedicated to pursuing justice and bringing them the closure they deserve," says Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner, reported FOX 54.
On Feb. 1, around 8 pm, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Circle K gas station on Harvest Road, near the intersection of Harvest Road and Wall Triana Hwy, after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found North’s body with a gunshot wound, and she was declared dead on the scene by first responders.
Witnesses told investigators Williams had walked into the gas station counter and shot North, who was an employee working at the time of the shooting. Soon, authorities found the defendant near the crime scene and placed him in custody for questioning before placing the defendant under arrest.
Williams was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia and severe depression by two different mental hospitals. However, prior to the shooting, he was not deemed a risk to himself or others.
North is survived by a husband and a 4-year-old son.
