Timothy Thomas, Jr. was described as a bright, shining light of the family until Sept. 29, 2021, when he was shot to death.
On that fateful day, the victim had been staying the night at his grandmother’s house and had dashed out in hopes of a quick return. He never did!
It was 6 a.m. the next day, Thomas’ grandmother woke up and noticed the 31-year-old father of four was not at home when she called his mother, Robin Clemons, to ascertain his whereabouts. Soon, Clemons received a dreadful call from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office that Thomas’ body had been found, according to Project: Cold Case.
Authorities had responded to the 1900 Block of West 9th Street, at the corner of Pulman Avenue. There, the police found the victim’s body with multiple gunshots.
"I had three, now I have two. That's not sitting well with me. "I know my child ain't perfect. None of us is perfect. I really miss my son,” said Clemons as she lamented about her son’s demise, according to First Coast News.
Clemons described her son as an honor roll student in high school. Furthermore, she described Thomas as a lover of basketball, football, and, most importantly, people.
The victim’s family members are desperate for answers and hoping that Jacksonville authorities can provide some soon.
