A Wilmington teenager, 19-year-old Camden White, was arrested and charged with the murder of his father, Michael White, police say.
Around 12:30 am on June 5, Wilmington Police Department responded to the 200 block of Colonial Drive after reports of a gunshot from inside a residence.
Upon arrival, they found Camden White and placed him in custody without incident. However, during the search of the premises, his father’s body was found upstairs with gunshot wounds, reported WECT.
The defendant was charged with second-degree murder, while the motive for the killing remains unclear.
Camden White is currently being held at the NHSO Detention Center without bond to await trial.
The case is still ongoing.
