A 16-year-old boy, who remains unidentified due to his age, was arrested and charged with the murder of 39-year-old Leo Addison of Largo, Maryland.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a Prince George’s County police officer with the Special Operations Division’s K9 Section heard a gunshot in the vicinity of Marlboro Pike and Forestville Road. As a result, the officer responded to the 7600 block of Marlboro Pike, where he saw the suspect fire a handgun at the parking lot of a gas station before attempting to flee.
The teenager was immediately apprehended, and the handgun was recovered, while Addison was rushed to a nearby hospital where the victim succumbed to his injuries.
According to Patch, during preliminary interviews, investigators learned the shooting stemmed from an argument between the defendant and the victim, and they were not acquainted with each other. The teen was charged with first-degree murder and other related charges.
The teen is currently in the custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
