A Roxborough woman, 39-year-old Danielle Baxter, was charged and arrested for the alleged shooting death of her husband, 38-year-old Jordan Baxter, police say.

According to FOX News, around 7 a.m. on March 19, Philadelphia Police responded to an Upper Roxborough home along the 800 block of Bells Mill Road in the Andorra section of the city after reports of a man screaming.

Upon their arrival, they found Jordan Baxter with a gunshot wound to the back of the head lying on a plastic sheet between two parked cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later.

Officers found a gun resting on the chest of the victim. Residents told several media outlets they woke up to a chaotic scene in contrast to the nature of their quiet neighborhood.

"Ten cop cars, rescue, fire trucks. It's a quiet street. That doesn't happen," said a neighbor who remained anonymous, reported Action News.

The next day, investigators arrested Danielle Baxter as the investigation went further. The motive for the killing remains unclear.

Neighbors described the couple as friendly and parents to three children. Jordan Baxter worked as an engineer for SEPTA.

Danielle Baxter was charged with other offenses.
