IOWA WOMAN CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF A MAN AFTER A STABBING INCIDENT

A Burlington woman, Tisha Renee Bounds, was arrested and charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man, authorities say.

On Saturday, around 5 pm, Burlington Police Department responded to the 300 Block of Angular Street, Apartment 27, in Burlington, Iowa, where they found an unidentified man who was unresponsive with a single stab wound. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, reported KWQC.

At the time, 49-year-old Bounds was also present at the residence, and investigators later connected her to the homicide.

As a result, the defendant was charged with first-degree murder, and she is currently being held without bond while waiting for a court appearance.

The motive for the killing is still unknown, and the investigation is still ongoing.
