TWO TEXAS TEENS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF TAMMY KING

Two teenagers from Galveston, Texas, 18-year-old Uriah Urick and 17-year-old Tara King, were arrested and charged with the murder of 61-year-old Tammy King on Sunday, authorities say.

The two defendants were charged with capital murder, according to FOX 26.

Around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) responded to a home along the 4700 Block of 15th Street in Bacliff after receiving calls for a welfare check from the victim’s neighbor. Upon arrival, they found King deceased with a gunshot wound.

Soon, authorities declared Tara King, who is the victim’s granddaughter, and her boyfriend Urick as persons of interest and later as suspects in the homicide.  The couple was located in Laredo, Texas, and taken into custody.  

The case is still ongoing, and the motive for the killing is still unknown.

Tara King was enrolled as a student at Dickinson High School, while Urick lived with the Kings.
