A Baltimore man, Charles Meyers, was arrested and charged with the alleged murder of 42-year-old Krystal Praharnpap in the city’s eastern district, police say.
Meyers was charged with first-degree and second-degree murder.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 1000 Block of Quantril Way after reports of an assault. Upon arrival, authorities forced their way into the home, where they found the victim suffering from trauma. Despite the efforts of first responders to provide life-saving measures, Praharnpap was declared dead at the scene.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, after investigators discovered the 46-year-old defendant was connected to the homicide, Meyers was arrested a couple of minutes later at the 1100 block of Armstead Way.
The motive for the killing remains unclear, and the investigation remains active. Authorities are asking anyone with additional information regarding the case to call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
