On March 15, 2000, a nice cloudy day in Jacksonville, Florida, Tina Marie McQuaig went missing after her shift at Shands Hospital.

At the time she was declared missing, McQuiag was a wife and the mother of a 4-year-old son.

The 27-year-old pharmacist’s car was found a few days after her disappearance in a Walmart parking lot off Normandy Boulevard. She was designated as a missing person by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office until a survey crew found some human remains two years after her disappearance in a wooded area near Cecil Field. An autopsy report later identified the remains as McQuaig and ruled the death as a homicide, according to The Florida Times-Union.

The location was just three miles off the same road where authorities found the victim’s car.

Despite several investigations and family efforts to place her story in media outlets such as America’s Most Wanted, it yielded no arrest to date. Eleven years after the murder, the Justice Coalition offered a $5,000 reward in hopes someone would come forward with information that would lead to an arrest. However, the case remained cold.

"Somebody knows something, I know they do and they've got to come forward. It has been too long, Tina needs justice, we need an answer," said McQuaig’s mother, Linda Rice, reported First Coast News.

Anyone with information that could break the case wide open can contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500. To remain eligible and maintain anonymity, you can call Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477.
